When I made these maps (that this site stole from my Flickr page: https://www.flickr.com/photos/7leagueboots/albums/72157713466326587/) the point was not to make a prediction for any specific future date. At some point we will come out of our current glacial age and all the ice will melt. That may be thousands or millions of years in the future, but it will happen at some point and it will happen within a time frame where the continents are pretty much as they are now.

The last time the world had no glaciers was 32 million years ago.

In reply to <a href="https://vividmaps.com/the-world-with-a-70-meters-sea-level-rise/#comment-1452">Rein van L</a>.

This is because when I made the maps that this site stole from my Flickr account (https://www.flickr.com/photos/7leagueboots/albums/72157713466326587/) I didn't have ice thickness data at the same scale and rez needed to calculate isostatic rebound, so I kept it simple.

I have a Greenland specific map that does factor in isostatic rebound that I've been working on that's in hiatus as sorting out the rivers and lakes is extremely tedious and my regular work and life often gets in the way of working on it.

Hotter, more extreme storms & droughts. Both animals & plants must migrate Very Fast poleward & higher into the Mountains!!! Oaks, hickories, walnuts & all trees with heavy seeds Need humans to plant them 500-700 miles polewards!!!
