That’s not a “highlight”, btw. The lighter shades of blue are shallower parts of the ocean; this is true on a regular map that shows oceans, too. The reason there is a blue outline of the continents is because, naturally, those parts of the ocean would be more shallow than the surrounding, pre-existing ocean (which is now even deeper than before).

It shouldn’t need to be said, the brown parts are land, the blue is water. The light blue in the shape of the continents could be understood as being new continental shelves. The brown areas inland, which correspond to real-life mountain ranges, would constitute the new landmasses.

The maps are really not difficult to understand. I repeat, the brown parts are land, the blue parts are water.

To demonstrate the difference that a 1,000 meter DROP would make, an INTELLIGENT person would highlight the OCEANS – NOT the land-masses, like YOU did. So why not show it again, so WE could actually COMPREHEND what an ocean drop would show look like. WHILE you are at it, drop it another 1,000 meters, or would that SHOW TOO MUCH?
