In the middle of 19th century, the development of Siberia region was impeded by lack of transport connection with European part of Russia. The railway system was built only up to Ural mountains. First projects of the railway across Siberia was completed around 1860. The construction was separated into seven parts. It began in 1890 and completed in 1916.
