Ever had a movie you can’t help but love, even though you know it’s terrible? Well, you’re not alone. A recent map from centurylinkquote.com reveals each state’s favorite “bad” movie, and the results are both hilarious and surprisingly relatable.

Each State's Favorite 'Bad' Movie

The Emoji Movie” – America’s Unexpected Darling Who would’ve thought that “The Emoji Movie” would claim the top spot? With a dismal 3.1 on IMDB and a cringe-worthy 8% on Rotten Tomatoes, this animated flop somehow won over 10 states, including Texas and Hawaii. Go figure!

The Room” – The Cult Classic That Won’t Quit Coming in hot is Tommy Wiseau’s “The Room,” beloved by 9 states including New York and California. If you haven’t experienced this beautiful disaster yet, you’re missing out. (Psst… you can grab the Blu-ray on Amazon if you’re feeling brave. Just saying.)

Superheroes Gone Wrong Remember “Batman & Robin“? The one with the infamous Bat-nipples? Yeah, that one’s a favorite in four states, including Utah. And “Catwoman”? It’s top pick in Rhode Island and Maryland. Seems like even superheroes have off days.

90s Nostalgia is Real “Super Mario Bros.” proves that we’ve been messing up video game movies for decades. It’s a top choice in five states, including Florida. Must be something about those 90s special effects.

One-State Wonders Some movies are so bad, they only made it big in one state. Like “The Hottie and the Nottie” in Nebraska. Or Shaq’s “Kazaam” in North Dakota. Hey, at least they have fans somewhere!

What’s Your State’s Pick Say About You? Whether you’re nodding in agreement or shaking your head in disbelief at your state’s choice, there’s something weirdly fun about these awful movies. They’re like the junk food of cinema – you know they’re bad, but you can’t help coming back for more.

Next movie night, why not give your state’s pick a try? You might end up with a new guilty pleasure. And if you’re really getting into the “so bad it’s good” movie scene, there’s a book on Amazon called “So Bad They’re Good: 100 Movies to Love for All the Wrong Reasons” that might be right up your alley.

Remember, folks – one person’s trash is another’s treasure. These movies might not win any Oscars, but they’ve won our hearts. And isn’t that what really counts?

P.S. If you’re curious about any of the movies or books mentioned, I’ve sprinkled some Amazon links throughout the post. Just a heads up – they’re affiliate links, so if you end up buying anything, it helps support the blog. No pressure though!
