When you stare out into the ocean, what’s on the other side? Finding the answer isn’t as simple as drawing a straight line on a map, because the Earth is not flat and coastlines are not straight.
The maps here show coastal points around the world (except from Antarctica) that directly face each continent, taking into account the direction of the coastline at those points, and a round Earth. The brighter end of each line is the view origin, that is, a point from which you can “see” the continent that is labeled on the map.
