Scottish – Monroe is a common one I have seen mislabeled on every map I have seen of this sort. It’s actually Highland Scot, having migrated from Ireland in the 11th century.
Also, pretty much anything with a Mc, Mac or O’ at the beginning is either Irish and/or Scottish in origin (Gaelic languages.)
Polynesian (Hawaii) – Not Native American in the truest sense of the term, nowhere near, or relating to, North or South America, or even the West Indies.
