Which countries are perceived as the greatest threat to world peace?

Citizens from different countries were asked which nation they see as the greatest threat to peace in the world.

The map below has been designed by Joe Hammer, based on a Gallup International survey. The national flags on this map shown within the boundaries of surveyed countries refer to the nation, which was mentioned most often by the interviewees.

The U.S. is estimated to be the biggest threat to peace globally as the United States has over eight hundred military bases abroad in seventy countries, and it is involved in conflicts from Afghanistan to Sudan. Even 13 percent of U.S. citizens considered their nation the most significant threat to global peace.

Most people think that Trump was a more significant threat to world peace than North Korea’s Kim Jong Un, Iran Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, China’s Xi Jinping, and Russia’s Vladimir Putin.

The Americans, Canadians, and Brits saw Iran as the most significant threat to peace.

Japanese, Filipinos, and Vietnamese view China as the biggest threat to peace

Surprisingly, Saudi Arabia took just 1 percent of the votes, notwithstanding being the central sponsor of world terrorism.
