Comparing the latitude of Europe and America

Have you ever wondered which cities or countries share the same latitude as your location? The atlas of the maps below will provide the answers to your question.
The first map shows the territory of the United States compared to Europe at the same latitudes.
On the map, you can observe that Miami shares the same latitude as Egypt, San Diego aligns with Morocco, and if Detroit were in Europe, it would be located in southern Bulgaria. Similarly, New York City and Washington D.C. would find their counterparts in Turkey.

This is well done. I have always wondered what the weather would be like at different European countries. This gives me a very clear idea.
The weather/climate is completely different – europe is much hotter at comparable latitues (gulfstream), that´s what’s so interesting with these maps. So that clear idea is probably wrong 🙂
