India is the 2nd most populated country globally, with nearly a 5th of the world’s population. According to Wikipedia, India’s population stood at 1,390,033,352 (March, 2021).

Between 1975 and 2010, the country’s population doubled to 1.2 billion, touching the billion mark in 1998. India is predicted to exceed China to become the world’s most populated nation by 2024. It is supposed to become the 1st country to be home to more than 1.5 billion people by 2030, and its population is estimated to reach 1.7 billion by 2050. India’s population growth in 2020 is 1.2%.

In 2020, the average age of an Indian was 29 years. For comparison, in China, it was 37 for China, and in Japan, it was 48. Today India has more than 50 percent of its population below 25 and more than 65 percent below 35.

I’d love to know how much of the ‘growing’ billions from state-to-state is actually taxed & goes towards paying one’s fair share.

….might be outdated or shifting on that #1 day to day with Bezos recently taking the #1 spot in the world…
