Since 1970, the United States’ foreign-born population has continued to grow in size and a percent of the total population. Nowadays, according to the U.S.Census, the percentage of the foreign-born population is more than 13% (about 45 mln) of the total population. Nearly 1 in 4 kids under 18 in families have at least one foreign-born parent.
Today, the preponderance of foreign-born are from Latin America and Asia.
