Over 3 days in January, almost 6 thousand volunteers spread out across Los Angeles County and count the homeless. According to the census a homeless population 44,359, and since the last survey in 2013, it increased by 12 percent. The map below shows a dot for every homeless person counted.
The number of homeless individuals, tents/makeshift shelters and vehicles in each census tract.
