Joseph Robinette Biden Jr. has been elected the 46th president of the U.S., but many Americans did not vote.
The map below shows what the 2020 U.S. Presidential Election results would have been if votes were not cast for Joe Biden or Donald Trump and had gone to a fictional candidate “Did Not Vote.”
Joe Bide has enlarged Hilary Clinton’s record from 51 to 231 electoral votes, while Donald Trump has raised from 16 to 112 votes.
According to the Washington Post in 2020, the voter turnout rate was more than 65%, the highest in 120 years since 1900 (73.7%). For comparison, in 2016, it was only 55.7%.
